Five (5)  Things To Consider when Planning Your Wedding

Wedding is an act, process, or instance of joining in close association. A wedding is an important day in the life of people. It’s supposed to be a very happy day but if things are not put into the right perspective it can be frustrating. To avoid such a situation let’s take a look at five (5) things to consider in planning your wedding.

  • SET A BUDGET (STICK TO IT).

Money is important in everything you do, or whatever you want to do. For your wedding to br successful and satisfactory it all balls done to money.

There is a need to set a budget and stick to it. Budget is estimating the amount of money you want to set aside for the wedding.

The budget will help you to determine all the activities that will go on, on your wedding day, ranging from decoration, entertainment, photography, apparel an, food and drinks.

  • PICK A DATE

Without a date definitely there cannot be any event. It’s important to fix a date. You can decide on a date and consult with the church, officiating minister or the appropriate authority that will be conducting the ceremony to make sure your chosen date dose not clash with another program. You can agree with me that it can inconvenient a whole lot of things if date is to change because you did not due diligence.

  • STYLE

What style of wedding do you want to have? Are you dreaming of an intimate destination wedding, a ballroom wedding, a garden wedding, a court wedding, a church wedding?

The style you will choose will help planning your wedding a lot easier since you have a clear picture of what you actually want your weeding to be.

  • MAKE A GUEST LIST

A guest list to be able to estimate the number of people who will be attending your wedding. Do not forget about your parent’s friends, possible plus -ones, and any other less obvious people (there need to be enough room for all of your vendors as well. For instance some caterers will have a staff of about ten in number).

You don’t have to end up inviting all of them of course but you must rather over estimate than underestimate the headcount.

  • VENUE

Once you have the guest list. The venue where the event will be held should be put into perspective. Will it be in a church, a house, a hotel, a park, a beach etc. this should be looked at, and because some come venues have to book ahead of time.

Hope the above will help you plan a successful and satisfactory wedding.
