The overall best staff of the Bacnof Schools in Obuasi, last weekend, took home a 40inch Samsung television with the first runner up taking away a 32inch LG television. The awards were given out during a Dinner and Awards night organized by the school at the Cofkans Hotel.
The Bacnof school was established in Obuasi some 13 years ago by Lady Pastor Nana Afia Agyeiwaah Boachie Tsikata. Speaking to Obuasitoday.com, Nana Afia said, she started with only two kids.
“I started with my own child and later one parent brought her child. We had only two kids for a whole year”, she revealed.
“13 years down the line, we can only thank God for increasing our number”, she added.
At the awards night, every teacher received a certificate of appreciation. Twenty other awards under various categories were also given out to deserving teachers. But the main show of the night was the best staff awards that were given out to five teachers.
Theresa Thompson won the overall best staff awards and her award was a 40inch Samsung Television whiles Edmond Donkor took home a 32inch LG Television as his reward for coming in second place. Fatima Idan also took home a 24inch LG television.
The ceremony was attended by parents, teachers and stakeholders and graced by Bishop Eddie Fabin of the Lighthouse Chapel, Obuasi.
