After completing her nursing training in 2012, due to conditions that surrounded the college she attended, Asakiya Abigail couldn’t get posted. She worked with some private hospitals for many years and received salaries that could barely take her through the month. In 2019, Abigail Asakiya decided to take the bold step, leave her comfort zone and start producing skin products. Almost two years down the line, she has also introduced food products into the Ghanaian market.
ABI-SAK was established on 28th September 2019 by its founder Abigail Asakiya and the business is gradually gaining ground though Asakiya admits the journey has been tough.
“When I used to work at the private hospital, sometimes the salary couldn’t cater for my transportation and upkeep. Though things aren’t going as I expect it to be, I believe there are better days ahead”, she told Wundef.com.
Abi-Sak’s skin beauty and food products are made from raw natural ingredients. Abigail wishes to obtain support in the form of capital to help increase production and advertisement. She also wishes to train other people, including those in orphanages on how to also produce the products she is into.
Some of the skin beauty products by Abi-Sak are Black soap shower, Coconut shower, Shea buttercream, Skin rashes cream, Black soap mixture, Cinnamon cleanser, Turmeric Cleanser, Nescoffeeco cleaner and Pawpaw shower gel. The rest are Aloe vera cleanser, Stretch marks remove oil, Honey shower gel and Natural hair food.
Her natural food products also include Shrimp powder, Black pepper, Rosemary powder, Khebab spices, Cherry spices, Mixed spices, Agushi powder, Garlic powder and Ginger powder. The rest are Tumeric powder, Groundnut paste, Prekese powder, Dawadawa powder and Fish powder.
