Abel Ayine Anaba, a native of Bolgatanga in the Upper East region of Ghana has launched an intercity courier delivery company that allows people to send or receive packages and parcels across the regional cities of Ghana. His company carries his first name, Abel.
“In 2017, A brother in-law of mine in Bolga wanted to buy a MacBook on Tonaton, an e-commerce website in Ghana but the seller was in Accra so he asked me to meet and check on the laptop to see if it’s in good condition before buying”, Abel Ayine narrates how he started his company to Wundef.com.
“So I did that and the next day, I packaged the laptop very nicely and took it to the bus station to be sent to Bolga. On my way home inside a car, I asked myself why I shouldn’t start something like that and make it a business, picking up packages from people who wish to send them to other regions” he added.
“So that’s how it all started. But before this I had tried several businesses which didn’t work out like a rideshare company, an e-commerce business, blogging and other internet businesses”, he said.
Abel was started this year in Adenta, Accra, Ghana.
Abel Ayine started with some friends and family members volunteering to help out as agents in some regions.
“The bigger picture is to become a big logistics company like the DHL, FedEx, UPS and the likes but in the next five years I see my business expanding to other West African countries”, the young founder revealed.
The Business is headquartered in Accra but has agents in five regions who handle delivery of packages and parcels.
