Entrepreneur Launches Directory for Entertainment Industry Professionals & the Businesses That Service Them

Meet Megan Faux, MA, CEO of 25 Dreams Media, Inc. and the founder of The Entertainment Table, an online business directory focused on Black entertainment professionals and the businesses that service them. The platform will house entertainment professionals who are behind the scenes to make it easier for creators to find needed resources to complete their creative projects.

The Entertainment Table is designed for fashion and beauty professionals, publicists, media outlets, caterers, writers, venue- owners, event planners, management professionals and similar small businesses, who have a service that fits the needs of entertainment industry professionals.

“What I’ve created is more relevant now than ever. We are living in the remnants of a global pandemic. There have been fewer and fewer opportunities for networking and collaborating in its physical form,” says Megan. ā€œI wanted to create one place where creatives could go to find what they need, in order to successfully complete their projects. Whether you are looking for an artist, manager, props, publicist or stylist, my team and I created The Entertainment Table to be a one-stop-shop directory. It’s a place where entertainment professionals and the businesses that service them can thrive.ā€œ

The Artistic Mind of a Criminal

I used to have a client who is a professor when it comes to art, paintings and antiques. He paints one portrait and makes millions out of it and that really fascinated me so much that I started doing some research into the Art, paintings and antiques industry. I discovered that the painting industry in Ghana is very small and young but elsewhere in the world, it is a huge industry which contributes significantly to the economy of these countries. The USA economy in 2014 and 2015 benefited US$730 billion and US$763.6 billion respectively from the Art, Paintings and Antiques sector(1). US$12 billion (Ā£9.2 billion) was contributed to the UK GDP in 2016 from the Art and Painting sector(2) with Singapore’s Art and Painting contributing S$2.13 billion to the GDP in 2013(3).
