For How Long will You Defend Your Mistakes? (By Dr. K. N. Jacob)

There are leaders who misled their followers about COVID-19 but they will never admit they were wrong. There are men who fathered a child but they’ll die denying rather than take responsibility. There are women who will never reveal their child’s real father. There are employees who will never admit that they were fired on non-performance. Most people are loyal to their past mistakes.

Many people would rather be stuck with the hell they know than the heaven they are promised. Some people would rather be killed by their familiar sickness than risk being operated. Some people would rather die defending their obvious errors than own and correct their past mistakes. Many of us devote our time, resources and energy defending sin than ask for forgiveness.
At times you win war by surrendering. The only way to heal completely is to ask for forgiveness. Remember that you are human prone to miscalculations. We all blunder more than we’re caught. We all mess more than we’re busted. At times strength is revealed in admitting our mistakes. At times difficult cases are permanently resolved by taking responsibility.
James 5:16 – Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
