Founder of Luxury Skincare Line Challenges Cosmetic Industry Norms

Skin Champagne, launched by Honey Pierre, a licensed esthetician, is a Black woman-owned cosmetics brand that produces unique and efficacious skincare products using the most coveted natural ingredients in the industry. Her company is a new glamorously clean beauty brand that aims to do things differently.

Their flagship products are infused with custom formulas and signature extracts that include Champagne, Truffle Oil, Diamonds, Hyaluronic Acid, Sea Kelp and African Shea Butter — ingredients that are amongst the most sought after in the cosmetics industry and are clinically proven to give users’ skin a healthy glow and feel.

Pierre decided to begin producing her own products after years of experiencing breakouts from using products not designed for her own skin. “I’ve always been passionate about skincare and the chemistry behind it. I wanted to channel those interests into creating a line of non-toxic skincare that was as glamorous and clean as possible and sourced responsibly and led to real results,” says Honey. “After becoming an Esthetician, I’ve devoted the last 9 years to experimentation and perfecting a skincare and body treatment routine that promotes vibrant and healthy skin.”

All Skin Champagne products are 100% Luxurious, 0% Toxic, have been formulated without the use of parabens, phthalates, fillers, mineral oil, or petroleum, and have been developed with no animal testing. Honey believes there is merit in creating honest products that deliver on the claim of giving users perfectly healthy skin.

“Much of the cosmetics industry is saturated with conventional brands that highlight whatever the trendy ingredients at the time maybe while only including a minimal amount of those ingredients in their final product,” says Pierre. “Skin Champagne not only uses the purest natural ingredients that any non-chemist could pronounce, but we also include the most precise concentrations of these high-quality ingredients to maximize the benefit for our users.”

The company currently offers myriad facial products that include cleansers, toners, exfoliators, masks, serums, and moisturizers all formulated for the various skin types. Their body products feature original items such as Sublime Glow Body Oil, Espresso Butter, Canvas Body Oil, Blue Caviar Body Polish, and Crèmas Body Polish which is an ode to her Haitian heritage.

The Artistic Mind of a Criminal

I used to have a client who is a professor when it comes to art, paintings and antiques. He paints one portrait and makes millions out of it and that really fascinated me so much that I started doing some research into the Art, paintings and antiques industry. I discovered that the painting industry in Ghana is very small and young but elsewhere in the world, it is a huge industry which contributes significantly to the economy of these countries. The USA economy in 2014 and 2015 benefited US$730 billion and US$763.6 billion respectively from the Art, Paintings and Antiques sector(1). US$12 billion (£9.2 billion) was contributed to the UK GDP in 2016 from the Art and Painting sector(2) with Singapore’s Art and Painting contributing S$2.13 billion to the GDP in 2013(3).
