Infinix Unveils 260W Wired and 110W Wireless All-Round FastCharge Technology for Lightning-Fast Charging

Infinix has introduced a new technology in its quest for ultra-rapid charging with the launch of the 260W wired and 110W wireless All-Round FastCharge. The new solution is set to revolutionize charging technology with its remarkable charging efficiency and speed.

According to Infinix, the new technology can charge a battery from 0 to 25% in just one minute when connected via wire and can reach 100% in under 8 minutes. For wireless charging, 0 to 100% can be achieved in just 16 minutes. This is a significant improvement from the 180W Thunder Charge that Infinix unveiled just nine months ago.

The new technology is built on the 180W Thunder Charge, but it upgrades from a dual 8C battery to a single 12C battery with a 4-pump circuit design that intelligently identifies power requirements and allocates the number of charge pumps needed. This ensures that the charging efficiency is 98.5%, and the 4,400 mAh test battery could retain 90% of its initial capacity after 1,000 cycles.

To ensure that the charger is safe and efficient, Infinix developed a combination of GaN material and AHB circuit infrastructure with high power density and small size. The cable is also an essential part of the technology, and Infinix developed one that can carry a current of up to 13A to ensure the 260W charging.

The 110W wireless charging uses custom-made small-sensitive coils with different architectures that have fewer but wider coils in the same space, reducing internal resistance and subsequently lowering phone temperature increase when charging. Additionally, the 110W custom-made charger has a dual-coil design for both vertical and horizontal charging. The station employs a fan at the base to improve heat dissipation.

In addition to the obvious wired and wireless charging, the standard also supports reverse charging, bypass charging, and multi-protocol charging. It is compatible with other protocols, including Power Delivery 3.0.

Infinix confirmed that the new technology would arrive with an upcoming Infinix Note smartphone this year, so we should see it in action pretty soon. With the introduction of the 260W wired and 110W wireless All-Round FastCharge, Infinix has set a new standard in charging technology that will undoubtedly change the way we charge our smartphones.
