Les Margaret 2020 Awards for Women in Tech entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs from Africa (1M€ business accelerator program)

Launched in 2014 by the JFD and supported by Margaret Hamilton, a computer scientist from NASA who allowed Man to walk on the Moon, the Margaret Prize highlights the leaders of digital projects responding to the major challenges of our society: sustainable development , demographic explosion, information processing, transformation of education systems, health or modes of transport, etc.

4 categories: Entrepreneur Europe – Intrapreneur Europe – Entrepreneur Africa – Intrapreneur Africa

The call for applications launched on January 2, 2020 will be closed on February 2, 2020 (midnight).

Four Margaret prizes will be awarded on April 21, 2020 on the occasion of the 8th edition of Digital Women’s Day.

To participate

the files for the Entrepreneur category must meet several criteria:

– Startup founded or co-founded by a woman. – The project uses new technologies for a better world. – Structure existing in Europe and / or Africa for less than 5 years.

Intrapreneurs, on the other hand, must mainly demonstrate that they are developing new growth opportunities within their business based on agile and original methods.

This category concerns employees of large and medium-sized companies who have developed a project in agreement with their employer, while remaining employed, which may lead to the creation of new companies, but also to other innovative activities and orientations, such as development of new products, services, technologies, administrative techniques, strategies and postures.

An acceleration program to boost the place of women entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs in Europe and Africa.

The jury chaired by Delphine Remy-Boutang composed of digital experts will deliberate on February 6, 2020. The four entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs of the year will benefit from the media exposure of the JFD, financial support, development support and services, with a value equivalent to € 1 million.
