SAGE – NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL ENTREPRENEURSHIP COMPETITION 2019
MEGHIS and Tema Technical Institute Represents Ghana at SAGE World Cup at USA.
SAGE Ghana held the 14th Edition of the National High School Entrepreneurship Competition from the 11th to the 14th of July, 2019 at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS). This year’s edition saw about 1,200 students from over 50 schools all over the country. These students battled against each other for bragging rights and a chance to represent Ghana in either the 2019 SAGE Global competition in San Francisco or the Afroseed Biz Challenge in Abuja, Nigeria.
Methodist Girls’ SHS, Mamfe – E/R and Tema Technical Institute, Tema – G/R will travel to San Francisco in USA to participate in the SAGE Global Competition while International Community School, Kumasi – A/R and Opoku Ware School, Kumasi – A/R travel to Abuja, Nigeria to participate in the Afroseed Biz Challenge.
During the competition, another Special Challenge that attracted several applications from Teams was the Techbooth Challenge. The Techbooth Challenge is an initiative to promote the study and application of technological initiatives among the youth in the country. It was sponsored by Techbooth Ghana and Aurora 360.
Guests who graced this year’s edition include: Director General of Ghana Educational Service – Prof. Opoku Amankwa, SAGE Africa Coordinator – Thabo Pitse, Chairman, Director of Pre – Tertiary, Ministry of Education – Mrs. Catherine Appiah – Pinkrah, Team Leader, 1D1F, Ministry of Trade and Industry – Mr. Ernest Agyapong, AGI, Greater Accra – Tsonam Cleanse Akpaloo.
