Republic of Indonesia Appoints Paskal A.B. Rois as Honorary consul in Ghana

The Republic of Indonesia has appointed Paskal Augustine Broson Rois, a Ghanaian as its Honorary consul in Accra, Ghana.

Hon. Paskal Rois is an entrepreneur and investor. He is also a procurement expert and the C.E.O and Managing Director for Rig Oil International Services (ROIS) Ltd.

During the inauguration ceremony at Cotonou in Benin, Ambassador of The Republic Of Indonesia to Nigeria, H.E. Dr. Usra Hendra Harahap congratulated Paskal Rois and urged him to protect the national integrity of the Republic of Indonesia. He also reminded the new Honorary consul of his duties which included the enhancement of economic relations and cooperation, the promotion of trade, tourism, investment, manpower, and services. He also asked the new Honorary consul to always propose new initiatives to increase the bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Indonesia and Ghana.

In his acceptance speech, Paskal Augustine Broson Rois, expressed his appreciation to the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo and the Ambassador Of The Republic Of Indonesia to Nigeria, H.E. Dr. Usra Hendra Harahap for his appointment and promised his willingness to “help build upon the existing bilateral cooperation between the country (Ghana) and the Republic of Indonesia.”

“… Again, be assured that every interest of the Indonesian government in Ghana will be safeguarded under my leadership as Honorary Consul. Also, the protection of the Indonesian community in Ghana will, as it is, not be overlooked” he said.

“It is in this vein that I have already created a WhatsApp platform to be in daily contact with them and collect data on each Indonesian citizen living in Ghana” he added.

Hon. Paskal A.B. Rois was appointed after the passing of Hon. Federick Aluipui in 2019.

In attendance at the event were other honorary consuls from Benin, Niger, Cameroon, Togo, Gabon and the wife and mother of Hon. Paskal Rois.

Josephine Kassah, mother of the new consul and wife,  Mrs. Gifty Etsa Rois both expressed their joy and sought for divine protection to succeed in his work.

Mr. Paskal A.B. Rois is from Dzodze and Akrofu in the Volta region.

Indonesia is accredited to Ghana from its embassy in Abuja, Nigeria.
