Skype Introduces background blur for Android Users

Skype’s latest 8.68 update for Android brings a highly sort after feature, which is the background blur. In addition, the new update is brings more custom reaction options. Users on Apple’s iOS and iPadOS  also received improved performance.

The changelog details bug fixes and stability improvements. The new update follows a gradual release cycle so some will get it earlier than others.

Skype 8.68 update changelog:

    • React Hard 2: We’ve upgraded your custom reaction picker, and you can now have more reactions right at your fingertips.?Learn more about reactions in Skype.
    • Background redacted: Now you can blur your background in video calls on Skype for Android.
    • Share away: We’ve made some improvements to the Share extension in Skype for iPhone and iPad, adding support for dark theme and improving performance.
  • Bug fixes and stability improvements. We’ve disappeared some bugs and cleaned the place up a bit.
