Apple Launches iPhone Pocket Starting at $149.95

Apple has partnered with Japanese fashion house ISSEY MIYAKE to introduce the iPhone Pocket, a limited-edition wearable accessory designed to make carrying your iPhone both convenient and stylish. Inspired by ISSEY MIYAKE’s concept of “a piece of cloth,” the iPhone Pocket features a unique 3D-knitted construction that stretches to fit any iPhone and other essentials like AirPods, cards, or keys.

The pocket can be carried in multiple ways — handheld, worn across the body, or attached to a bag. It comes in two strap styles with a vibrant color palette:

  • Short strap (8 colors): Lemon, Mandarin, Purple, Pink, Peacock, Sapphire, Cinnamon, Black
  • Long strap (3 colors): Sapphire, Cinnamon, Black

“The design reflects the joy of wearing iPhone in your own way,” said Yoshiyuki Miyamae, ISSEY MIYAKE’s Design Director.

“Its simplicity and versatility complement our products,” added Molly Anderson, Apple’s VP of Industrial Design.

Crafted in Japan and developed in collaboration with the Apple Design Studio, the iPhone Pocket combines fashion craftsmanship with practical function.

Pricing:

  • Short strap — $149.95 (U.S.)
  • Long strap — $229.95 (U.S.)

The iPhone Pocket will be available beginning November 14 at select Apple Stores and on apple.com in the U.S., UK, France, Greater China, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Italy.

The Artistic Mind of a Criminal

I used to have a client who is a professor when it comes to art, paintings and antiques. He paints one portrait and makes millions out of it and that really fascinated me so much that I started doing some research into the Art, paintings and antiques industry. I discovered that the painting industry in Ghana is very small and young but elsewhere in the world, it is a huge industry which contributes significantly to the economy of these countries. The USA economy in 2014 and 2015 benefited US$730 billion and US$763.6 billion respectively from the Art, Paintings and Antiques sector(1). US$12 billion (£9.2 billion) was contributed to the UK GDP in 2016 from the Art and Painting sector(2) with Singapore’s Art and Painting contributing S$2.13 billion to the GDP in 2013(3).
