FRITZWA INTERNATIONAL TO HOLD WOMEN’S RECYCLING SKILLS TRAINING IN ACCRA

Fritzwa International will host a two-day women’s empowerment training programme through its vocational arm, Fritzwa Vocational Institute, on Feb. 27–28 at the Oyarifa Community Center.

The training, scheduled to begin at 0800 GMT each day, is designed to equip women with practical skills in recycling to promote self-reliance and entrepreneurship.

Organisers said participants will receive hands-on instruction in laptop bag designing, hair band making, throw pillow production and hat making, with a focus on transforming recyclable materials into marketable products.

Fritzwa International, a Ghana-based non-governmental organisation, provides vocational training to vulnerable groups, including women and prison inmates, as part of efforts to enhance economic independence and reduce unemployment.

Interested participants and sponsors can register or make enquiries via +233 24 267 9093.

The programme forms part of the organisation’s broader strategy to combine environmental sustainability with income-generating skills development for women.
