These Ghanaian Developers are working on a Mobile App that will send you notifications of happenings in your locality.

Currently in its final stage of development, Guardaround will send you instant notifications of incidents happening in your current location. It will be a perfect GPS safety and awareness mobile platform for Ghanaians and beyond.

The application which will be released in the next few months would be available for both Android and iOS operating systems. The app is being developed by a team of 5 friends.

“We’re a group of friends with a common ambition to make every neighborhood, every city, and every country in the world safe and secured”, Paakwesi Mpaa, the General Manager for Guardaround revealed.

Data would be collected from the individual Guardaround users who could report incidences with their apps and upload unto the platform. There would also be a team from Guardaround, scouting for information.

The team is in the final stage of the app development and they would be releasing the first minimum viable product (MVP) by the fourth quarter of the year.

The developers hope Guardaround app will be accepted and used in every household in the countries they will be operating.

The Artistic Mind of a Criminal

I used to have a client who is a professor when it comes to art, paintings and antiques. He paints one portrait and makes millions out of it and that really fascinated me so much that I started doing some research into the Art, paintings and antiques industry. I discovered that the painting industry in Ghana is very small and young but elsewhere in the world, it is a huge industry which contributes significantly to the economy of these countries. The USA economy in 2014 and 2015 benefited US$730 billion and US$763.6 billion respectively from the Art, Paintings and Antiques sector(1). US$12 billion (£9.2 billion) was contributed to the UK GDP in 2016 from the Art and Painting sector(2) with Singapore’s Art and Painting contributing S$2.13 billion to the GDP in 2013(3).
