Henry Osabutey has been recognized as an ambassador in Ghana for his humanitarian works by Global Goodwill Ambassadors(GGA). He was recognized for being the founder of Henry Osabutey Education Foundation(HOEF), a Non- Governmental organization aimed at providing quality education to underprivileged children in deprived communities and promoting initiatives that serves the people in need in Ghana.
Global Goodwill Ambassadors is a body that supports humanitarian works, empowering peoples abilities with access to the right resources, honouring and uniting humanitarians worldwide.GGA believes in nurturing ambassadors from every nation,race,colour and socio-economic caste who do goodwill towards others and make a difference in the lives of others.GGA is an unbiased group with over 11,000 humanitarians in 2018 territories who believe in creating awareness on pressing issues on society and spreading goodwill around.
Henry Osabutey was not only recognized for his foundation but the initiatives he takes to make a difference in the lives of the children and youth in Ghana.HOEF mission to raise literacy rate and promote life-long learning Ghanaian children has led to the provision of children in several communities with decent education, built libraries, exercise books, shoes, bags, playing toys,computers, Laptops ,projectors and many more. One community that benefited from the foundation is Gomoa Fetteh,a coastal community along the Atlantic Ocean where Henry Osabutey happen to teach from 2006 until 2018.
Henry Osabutey Education Foundation vision to build a reading nation to ensure every child enjoys decent education irrespective of race, religion and physical disabilities has led him to initiate a project on teenage pregnancy named HOEF_Teen Children having Children Project.
This Project that aimed to curb teenage pregnancy rate in Ghana over the past year has developed a model (HOEF_T CHC) that employs the services of professionals and in some cases volunteers; Medical practitioners, social workers, psychologists, counselors etc to address the several effects of teenage pregnancy on the academic life of teenage girls to avert the tendency of teenage girls getting pregnant in school.
The Foundation resort to the use of multimedia presentations of the effect of teenage pregnancy including the effects of unsafe abortions in our education materials for schools. HOEF seeks to advocate for inclusion and admission of teenage pregnant girls, who are willing and shows interest in attending school into the main stream schools.
Henry Osabutey is very passionate about his charitable works and the opportunity to be recognized as an ambassador is great for the promotion of his projects, for improving education among children and empowering teenage girls from dropping out of school. Education is said to be the key to success, providing quality education is necessary for these children who will be the leaders of tomorrow.
