Infinix, a smartphone maker known for its affordable devices, is gearing up to launch a phone with an incredible 260W wired charging system. This is a significant improvement over the company’s previous 180W charging capabilities on its Infinix Zero Ultra model.
The upcoming Infinix 260W Thunder Charge charger is equipped with a four-way 100W charge pump and an AHB (Advanced High-Performance Bus) circuit design that ensures safe charging control. According to a reliable source, the company is also testing a 100W wireless charging solution. This technology features a custom-coil design that enhances charging efficiency, reduces internal resistance and increases peak power charging time.
Infinix is expected to announce the 260W charging solution on March 9. It’s unclear whether the company will launch a new phone alongside the charger or modify the Infinix Zero Ultra to support this new technology. However, one thing is certain – Infinix plans to release a phone with 260W charging capabilities by the end of the year.
If Infinix successfully launches this phone with 260W charging, the company will claim the throne as the maker with the fastest charging phone, outpacing Realme’s recent release of the GT Neo5 and Realme GT3 phones that support up to 240W fast charging.
As charging speeds continue to improve each passing month, we can expect more manufacturers to push the wattage game further up until phones can top up their batteries in a matter of seconds. The demand for fast charging is ever-increasing, and Infinix’s latest innovation could set the standard for the entire industry.
