Let Not Situations Define Your Personality

It’s a Sunday morning and Christians are preparing for church.
Little Johnnie has taken his bath, dressed up and is set for church. He starts to think of offering, for it is the first Sunday of the year. Upon several thoughts he still decided to go to church without offering.
He set in for the church and by 10-minutes time, he was at the church premises.
Little Johnnie got to the church and bible studies was on-going, he sat to enjoy it.
After the bible studies session, he joined the main congregation. It was time for Sunday School offering and Johnnie was also sitting on the second row of the first column and not having money neither to think of giving offering, he started to think of what to do.
The final decision he took was to go home. He picked his phone and his earpiece and left his bible on his seat when others were by-passing him to give their offerings. Not wanting to give others the sign that he was going home, he went to stand outside the church and asked a protocol officer to go for his bible.
Johnnie finally got home and couldn’t give any meaningful reason to all those who asked him of his early return from church but got into his room and began to weep.

Johnnie could have stayed till closing but the thought of being condemned by others got him out of the church before closing.

It could even be that no one noticed that he didn’t give offering but perception deceived him.

Don’t let situations define your personality but rather define your personality irrespective of situations.
