mPedigree Ranked 2nd most innovative company in Africa

mPedigree, a technology-solutions company founded by Ghana’s Bright Simon, has been named among the 2020 top 10 most innovative companies in Africa by a reputable American business magazine, Fastcompany.

Founded in 2007, mPedigree has risen to become a global force with recognition around the world, the latest being the company placed 2nd as Africa’s most innovative. Other African companies that make the cut in the top 10 include Twiga Foods, Copia Global, Kobo360 and others.

Fastcompany focuses on technology, business and design and does an annual assessment of companies. In 2016, Fastcompany placed mPedigree at number five (5) of the most innovative companies from Africa.

In August 2013, mPedigree’s President, Bright Simons, was given a lifetime achievement award by the International Foundation for Africa Innovation, for his work in mobile innovation.

Also in August 2013, Bright Simons, was named on a list by MIT Technology Review of the World’s 35 Top Innovators Under 35.

Fastcompany, in recognizes that that mPedigree uses sms to “solve a global” problem hence deserves a spot in its list.
