Meet the Tecno Spark 10 Pro: The Budget Phone with a Premium Feel

Tecno has announced the latest addition to their popular Spark series, the Spark 10 Pro. This new phone is a sequel to last year’s Spark 9 Pro and boasts some impressive upgrades, including a larger and better-quality screen and a glass back, a feature typically reserved for premium phones.

The Spark 10 Pro’s 6.8-inch IPS LCD screen has a 90Hz refresh rate, a significant improvement from its predecessor’s 60Hz. This larger and smoother screen also has a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels with a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, offering users an immersive viewing experience. Additionally, the Spark 10 Pro has a glass back, a feature not often found in affordable smartphones. The company calls it “hard-wearing Starry Glass” due to its speckled appearance, and it comes in two elegant colors: Starry Black and Pearl White.

Under the hood, the Spark 10 Pro is powered by the Helio G88 chipset, an upgrade from the G85 chipset found in its predecessor. The device is packed with 8GB of RAM, with up to 8GB of virtual RAM, and 256GB of built-in storage. The Spark 10 Pro also has a dedicated microSD slot, allowing users to expand their storage if necessary.

In terms of camera, the Spark 10 Pro is a standout. It has a better front-facing camera, a 32MP unit with a built-in flash, and a 50MP main unit with Super Night mode and 3D LUTs to quickly adjust the style of your photos, plus an unspecified helper, most likely a depth sensor. These features make it easy for users to take stunning photos even in low light settings.

The Spark 10 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging over the USB-C port using the supplied cable and adapter. It also supports dual-SIM 4G, NFC, and FM radio. The phone features a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom, making it easy to listen to music and take calls without needing additional accessories. It also has a fingerprint reader embedded into the Power button on the side, providing users with an extra layer of security.

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro is set to launch later this month, with pricing still unknown. The phone will come with Android 13 and HiOS 12.6 out of the box, ensuring that users have access to the latest software features.
