Hon. Samuel George Announces Opening of Applications for the One Million Coders Programme

In a move to drive Ghana’s digital transformation agenda, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation, has officially announced the opening of applications for the much-anticipated One Million Coders Programme. The announcement was made during a press briefing held today in Accra.

The initiative, aimed at training one million Ghanaians in various coding and digital skills, is part of the government’s broader vision to position the country as a hub for technology and innovation in Africa.

Speaking at the event, Hon. George emphasized the importance of digital literacy in the 21st century. “This programme is a major step toward preparing our youth for the future. Interested applicants can now submit their applications online via the official portal: http://onemillioncoders.gov.gh

The programme is open to all Ghanaians who have a passion for technology and a desire to learn, regardless of their educational background or previous experience. The training will cover key areas such as web development, app development, data science, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
