Samuel Nartey George, Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation, has officially announced the opening of applications for the much-anticipated One Million Coders Programme. The announcement was made during a press briefing held today in Accra.
The initiative, aimed at training one million Ghanaians in various coding and digital skills, is part of the government’s broader vision to position the country as a hub for technology and innovation in Africa.
Speaking at the event, Hon. George emphasized the importance of digital literacy in the 21st century. “This programme is a major step toward preparing our youth for the future. Coding is the new language of opportunity, and we are committed to ensuring every Ghanaian, especially our young people, has access to these skills,” he stated.
