Mompreneur Gives Her 16-Year Old Son Three Homes and $10K to Teach Him Business

Charlise Freeman, a single mother and an entrepreneur from Cleveland, Ohio, gifted her son three properties and $10,000 cash for his 16th birthday to help set up his generational wealth. A video she posted of the moment when she surprised him has since gone viral has been well-praised by people on social media.

“He had no idea what was in store….I was about to give him the foundation to set him up for success!!!!” Freeman wrote on her Instagram post.

Freeman said she has always been close to her 2 sons and maintains an open communication with them. She said her 16-year old son Taurean has always expressed his interest in real estate as well as being a chef and she supports him.

“We applied to a business program and a chef program for him to do his junior year,” Freeman wrote in another Instagram post. “He interviewed for both and was not chosen for either one, and he was a hurt and thought it was because of a # of reasons, but I just told him it would be ok we will go another route because MOMMY already had some things in the works, but I couldn’t tell him what it was because I was saving it for the right moment.”

Indeed, Freeman surprised him with an investment into his future when he turned 16-years old. She also expressed her excitement with working with her son on something that he is really passionate about.

Freeman’s post has since been viewed thousand times, with many parents thanking her for inspiring them to encourage their children in similar ways.

The Artistic Mind of a Criminal

I used to have a client who is a professor when it comes to art, paintings and antiques. He paints one portrait and makes millions out of it and that really fascinated me so much that I started doing some research into the Art, paintings and antiques industry. I discovered that the painting industry in Ghana is very small and young but elsewhere in the world, it is a huge industry which contributes significantly to the economy of these countries. The USA economy in 2014 and 2015 benefited US$730 billion and US$763.6 billion respectively from the Art, Paintings and Antiques sector(1). US$12 billion (£9.2 billion) was contributed to the UK GDP in 2016 from the Art and Painting sector(2) with Singapore’s Art and Painting contributing S$2.13 billion to the GDP in 2013(3).
